Violetville Vintage

After the Ports show we were so excited to get to our hostel, yes hostel. It was located in Chelsea and lets just say you get what you pay for. Usually we are pretty "adventurous" and don't mind having to rough it a little, but this was BAD. Lets just say a mouse would be uncomfortable in this place because it was so small. To make a long story short we switched places and found one on the lower east side that we love. It feels like grandma's cottage.

After we were settled we met up with some friends, Megan who lives in the West Village and Matt who came down for the weekend from Boston. Megan took us around to a few places, the first was Max Fish. It was really cute and had amazing happy hour deals ($3 glasses of wine before 9.) After that we went to Dark Room where there were "free vodka drinks" aka cough syrup and watered down red bull. Lastly, we went to Lit and enjoyed dancing like idiots to British Rock and Michael Jackson in a dungeon like setting. Since we had the next day off we cashed in late. 

We worked our second show on Saturday. It was at Bryant Park for AAU (The Academy of Art University.) Call time was 11:15 and not a single model showed up until 1:30, and the show was supposed to start at 3:00. This lead to sitting around for hours not doing anything and staring at the delicious catered food we didn't even get to eat.
